Google Trip App - User Experience
This article was first mentioned as an upcoming article in this (https://www.designpractice.io/blog/google-trips-ios-app-walk-through). The reason for this long delay is because I wanted to share my Google Trips app experience only after I can actually get experience back on an abroad vacation.
Going on a vacation? Domestic 🚂or Abroad 🛫? Not sure which places to cover? Which are the best tourist attractions 🎢? Want to keep all your travel and hotel details at one place 🤔? Yes?? Google Trips iOS and Android app is there for you.
Google Trips is one of the best travel helper app for your phone. Whether you will be travelling on a domestic or international trip, Google Trips will surely make a great travel experience. 🧞♂️
✌️There are many features but I would like to mention few:
– It auto creates your trips and syncs your travel details from your Gmail account.
– Get your hotel, train, flight, or bus tickets at one place.
– Never miss an attraction in a new city.
– Suggestion of Day Plans.
– Detailed information available handy for tourist attraction places.
– Everything is available offline as well 🙏🏼
It is really amazing to see how Google Trips app will sync your travel plans for particular dates and create trips in the app. For example: I was on a trip to Thailand 🇹🇭 from 31st October to 10th November. I have following flights during the trip, Bangalore ✈ Bangkok, Bangkok ✈ Phuket, Krabi ✈ Bangkok, Bangkok ✈ Bangalore. I visited Phuket, Krabi and Bangkok during my visit to Thailand. I booked the hotels respective to my journey dates.
As soon as I downloaded the Google Trips app, it linked with my logged-in email and started syncing my trips, within 10 minutes, I'd my Thailand trip details on Google Trips app. I could access to my flights, hotels, and other reservations for those dates.
Google Trips shown me that, I will be visiting these cities, then I've to download city guide for individual cities. If I am visiting a city which is not mentioned by Google, I can add it too. Once it downloads the city guides, you're done! Everything will be available even when you're offline.
I have used Google Trips app while getting into the Airport and to get my boarding pass. * No need to keep printed documents. The same thing happened at Hotel reservations, just show them my reservations within Google Trips app and it's done!
