LinkedIn - '1-Click Apply'
Getting a proper job is so tough these days that people end up updating their profiles on so many job portals. And ending with a desired job still more tough.
In such scenario, I planned to have a job change. Looking at present market situation, I thought of going directly on LinkedIn first. Since LinkedIn jobs are some what authentic and real as per my assumption and previous experience.
I was expecting some new feature from LinkedIn when I started searching out in its job section. Expectation was fulfilled and found this very new and exciting feature provided by LinkedIn which was '1-Click Apply'.
LinkedIn recently introduced '1-Click Apply' to ease the job applying process for users.
Just click and you have applied for the job. This is what I feel the idea could be behind bringing such option for users.
Super excited, I started using the feature first on Laptop. I easily applied for few of the openings. But didn't have that much time to continue on my Laptop. Planned to use LinkedIn app to apply using the same button.
I was not aware that using LinkedIn app will create a bad user experience for me. I saw the same button while I tried applying through app, but unfortunately when I clicked, it showed me a error saying 'Something went wrong. Please try again'. I was like might be my net was down and this error occurred. But this issue persisted in Wifi connection too. That simply cleared my doubt that it was not because of network issues but it was some internal LinkedIn job issue which did't allow me to use the feature.
- Proper error message is necessary which normal user can understand when something goes wrong.
- Give a proper user friendly error message.
