LinkedIn - Slow Internet Alert User Experience
Changing World! Changing Expectations! Changing Speed of Internet!
I have been a regular user of platforms like LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Google Analytics, etc. which helps me in content marketing, product marketing and many other stuff. While I am using, it is possible that internet services/speed either go down or say the server stops responding properly.
At such times, if you app/website behaves properly or say display a message with proper exact error information, then it becomes very handy for users to react in such situations. Let me take you through one such situation.
Recently, I was reading some article on LinkedIn. Once I finished reading, I tried navigating on notifications. After like 30 seconds, LinkedIn displayed a message saying "Internet is slow". That message what it was required at that point of time since I was confused why it was not responding on my request to open notifications. Seriously, such messages are very very helpful and useful. It creates a good user experience for users.
- Messages at right time can improve user experience.
- May be they can opt out for a creative with message as that gives good visual experience to users.
