MailChimp - Tedious Delete Campaign Process
Sometimes we all face a situation when we delete some documents by mistake. One common way to give alert to a user while deleting some files is by showing a confirmation popup. Recently I faced one bad UX of delete feature of MailChimp.
MailChimp is an email marketing service provider. I am using MailChimp to send a weekly email newsletter about DesignPractice articles to our subscribers. I created too many email campaigns till date and Sometimes I have to delete some campaign due to bad design or improper content.
But In MailChimp, If I want to delete any campaign then I have to type "DELETE" in the pop-up box which opened on press delete button.
This is a good way of deleting some important files but It's a very tedious process when I want to delete multiple campaigns, I have to write DELETE every time :(
- Giving a unique or different way of some feature is a good thing but It should solve a user's problem
- For better alert option, With the confirmation pop-up, instead of writing whole DELETE word, a simple checkbox on DELETE statement can alert users and It will save users time.
