OYO Rooms - Bad Booking Experience
Recently I was at Ahmedabad and was looking out for a room at Gandhinagar. And this days, it is very easy to search for a hotel room and that too as per your location, since technology has gone to a next level. And I thought of booking on OYO app.
When I was searching out for a room, I found one Hotel in my budget and thought of checking out for the services they provide with the room. They have a very unique way to show the services they provide. They have a slider which shows basic amenities that all guests get.
But when I tried to check what all payment methods they have by clicking on book now button, they deducted like Rs.41 from my wallet. And message was sent to me saying that booking is confirmed and they asked to pay rest amount.
I mean without even confirming about what payment method will I use, why should they deduct that amount from my wallet. When it comes on payment, every user wants that it should be secured. Their money should not go without their confirmation.
No doubt, they refunded me once I cancelled the booking. But it should first display the payment methods with a proper message on what amount they will deduct from my wallet.
- Users may run away if they see something unusual. Money is a big concern this days when frauds are usual.
- Follow a proper flow as other apps have.
- Proper timely notifications to user are necessary.
