Printo - SMS for Order Pickup
Printo is known for customised printing work such as T-shits, visiting cards, greeting cards and various gift products.
Yesterday, I ordered two products at Printo and it was really a great experience at store. Today afternoon, I received an SMS/message that my order is ready and you can pickup at our store. I was super excited and happy with the fast process.
I took my bike and started before my office time ends. I reached at Printo store. I asked Printo executive to deliver my order. He said it’s not ready. Again surprised! I said that I have received an SMS saying that the order is ready for pickup. Then he checked his system to identify what has actually happened.
“Your one item is ready. Another item will be available for the pickup after 2 hours“ He said after checking the system.
Printo system automatically sends a message even if the partial order is ready.
1. SMS experience is a core experience when it comes to updates. Need to use wisely and properly.
2. Build expectations when you can serve.
3. Explore all potential use cases for communication and build system accordingly.
The system should be smart enough to manage multiple orders.
