School Planner - Onboarding Journey
Technology has reduced human efforts in all domains.Still, remember those days mom shouting and running behind us to set the timetable for the next day, asking us to recheck all home works, look out for test and assignment preparations coming up and much more.
Our Mom's were our school planner taking care of each an every small thing. But the time has changed, there is an app available for all that you wish.Recently downloaded School planner app for my nephew, opened the app for first time and a Welcome Message asking me to start the walk-through with the design of inside view of the app screen.
Clicking on Let's get started navigate to other screen asking to Configure best settings for me or fast proceed with recommended settings.I went ahead with Configure Now which lead to Terms page, How many terms do you have? 2 terms are selected by default while you can change it by clicking on default 2 number and selecting an appropriate answer from the drop-down.
You can individually configure each term by setting its title, start date, and end date.Going ahead appears Notification page, providing few notifications settings turned on by default but could be changed easily.
It also asks for notification timing suitable for you to receive notification by providing simple and neat clock UI to select a time from.
Even multiple notification timings could be set, if you wish to receive more than 1 notification.
You can also alter - Select/Unselect days of the week you need to receive notification from the app.
Next screen describes few storage and location permissions required by the app in order to function properly and also need to grant few androids permissions to get set up.
And appears a screen with a thumbs up image stating You're all set and a thank you message for downloading the app. Going next will take you to original app view with a fully loaded side menu providing you with a lot of many options.
- Ask User to Configure settings or provide with recommended settings to fast proceed which caters to both type of audience the ones who like customization an also who don't want to spend time setting up.
- Great customization helps the user set up the app as per their requirements and convenience.
- Plain White background was used in most of screen ,which could be more colorful and bit attractive.
